Can you take CBD with you across borders and on flights?
CBD products are sold in most EU countries. Companies are shipping the product over land, sea and air without any issues.
The current legal status of CBD in the EU allows for cross-border travel with CBD products from one EU country to another EU country. Safe and tested CBD food supplements with contents clearly labelled on the packaging are a must of course. Products without a label or that have not been tested and are from a doubtful source are a risk, not only to transport, but to consume in general.
CBD is now widely recognised as a safe and non-psychoactive by regulators across Europe, so – provided the product is tested and from a reputable source – it should be safe to explain that the product is a food supplement which has been tested and is controlled in your home country in Europe.
Travelling outside of EU with CBD products: consumers should always check the regulation in any country before travelling, including those that will be passed through along the way. Even if CBD products are available in a country there is still a risk that the product could be confiscated by the authorities. One option could be to source locally in such cases.
